This vintage jewelry or keepsake box has no label or markings, but it was no doubt made in China in the 1940s or 1950s. It's made entirely of carved cork and glass with the exception of the decorative bamboo ring and lid handle, and the brown rayon interior trim.
A cork clipper ship under glass decorates the lid center. Upon lifting the lid, you'll find a larger landscape scene in cork with a sailboat, trees, islands, beaches, and more. The entire interior is lined in glass. The box measures 5 by 7-3/4 by about 3 inches high. It's in excellent vintage condition with no stains or damage.
