This elaborately trimmed scalloped cotton handkerchief is decorated with sprays of violets. With the wide white and purple hairpin lace trim, it's nearly 15 inches across. The starched and pressed hankie doesn't appear to have been used and there are no stains or tears.
I'm also including a few other items, mainly a lavender linen hankie with tatted pink and green lace trim. The initial L is embroidered in one corner. Attached are a metal scissors charm and a long handled spoon brooch pin - silver colored, untarnished metal with old fashioned plain open C-clasp, not marked. There are also five small thread crocheted doilies. Only three are shown, the other two are basic off-white, one round, one snowflake shape. The square ecru-gold larger doily was made with silky rayon thread.
