A dozen late 1930s to early 1940s child's cotton and linen handkerchiefs from a single estate, some never used in their original boxes. Described in order beginning with the second picture:
Three unused Sunbonnet Babies embroidered hankies, boxed, still attached to paper liner with satin ribbon and a foil label reading "Finest Hand Loom Embroidery". Box lid is decorated with 1930s to early 1940s era toy illustrations on black. Lid has been crushed a bit but not fully torn.
Box of three embroidered hankies featuring Tom the Pipers Son and two other animal characters, maybe rabbits or mice. Attached to paper liner with foil "Pure Linen" label. Though the hankies are unused, two appear to have a few missing stitches.
Embroidered Grumpy, one of the dwarfs from Walt Disney's Snow White, circa 1938. Appliqued elephant hanky, possibly Babar. Drawnwork hankie with embroidered Scottie dogs. Embroidered kid in automobile.
Pair of printed hankies featuring the comic book character Skippy. Only the Skippy hankies look like they've been used or laundered. The others appear to be in their original folds, with of course some age yellowing.
