A pair of 20th century signed abstract impressionist oil on canvas paintings depicting celebrations in Bali, framed in carved exotic wood. The paintings alone are about 7 by 9 inches. With frames the pictures measure 12-1/2 by 15 inches.

Each is signed A A Rais, Bali, who is or was an Indonesian painter who specializes in scenes of temples and ceremonies, according to Art Forum Gallery of Singapore. A 1990 painting similar to the one on the left in my first picture is currently for sale in the gallery for about $500 USD. Other than some light dust in the frame crevices, both paintings are in excellent vintage condition with no damage.
