These eight American made glass Christmas ornaments are from the 1940s World War II years, when silvering agents were not available to manufacturers of consumer goods as they were needed for the war effort. One ornament is solid transparent green, the others have various ringed or striped decoration, both painted and mica glittered. The three with white mica stripes have pieces of blue and silver tinsel garland inside for added glitter. Sizes range from over 3 inches high to 2-1/2 inches. The Shiny Brite ornament with glittered bells is apparently not a genuine war ornament - I noticed some tiny remnants of silvering on the very bottom after taking the pictures. There is some expected finish or mica wear from age and handling as shown, no chips or breaks.
