This pressed glass flower shape ash tray was made by Hazel Atlas in the 1940s and measures 4-3/4" wide point to point. The bottom-raised pattern is called Star In Star. The transparent red coloring is flashed on or applied to the exterior - it's a color a bit lighter than true ruby but darker than cranberry. There is some very slight fading or wear at the bottom were it rubs on the table and a small dot of concentrated color under one cigarette rest, no chips or flakes.
