This antique warming plate was made in England in the late 1800s to early 1900s. The top is an ironstone transferware plate, just over 9 inches diameter, decorated with a blue pleated botanical ribbon around the rim. The reservoir is solid copper, meant to hold hot water to keep the food on the plate warm. There are two swing handles at the sides - I'm not sure if they're patinated brass or copper, but the stopper is solid brass. There are a few shallow utensil marks at the plate center, nothing noticeable. There are no chips, dents, dings, or crazing. Marked England on the bottom.
