The hangtag is still present on this Caribbean woman cloth doll. It says Caribbean Folk Doll by Drexco Crafts, a Haitian handicrafts exporter in the 1990s and early 2000s. Paper labels on the back read Made in Haiti.
The doll is a traditional Caribbean island woman dressed in a madras plaid skirt and flowered head scarf made of the same colorful plaid, ruffled orange blouse, green sash, lace trimmed white underskirt, and white panties. Her face is painted and she wears hoop earrings made of metallic gold braid. The arms and legs are thread jointed, making her posable. She's about 16 inches high overall and in excellent, like-new condition with no play wear, tears, stains, or odors.
