This vintage cake keeper and carrier from Carlton Aluminum has an attractive hand painted design of pink flowers on a background the color of buttercream frosting. The knob at the top is glass, surrounded by concentric rings. It comes complete with the original locking metal wire clamp.

The bottom plate is aluminum, but the dome cover is made of steel or tin (a magnet sticks to it, but not to the aluminum plate). There's just the right amount of authentic age wear for vintage kitchen display without looking too shabby. There are a couple of very shallow, minor dings to the upper back edge, no major paint loss or damage to the glass finial knob.
