This classic 57 inch tall antique floor lamp is from the 1920s, but was updated with circa 1950s wiring. It has a large socket at the center top, surrounded by three candelabra style lights. The base also lights up. All five sockets take regular Edison style standard light bulbs. The base is cast iron, painted a creamy ivory color with a marbled celluloid or plastic disc mounted at the top to let the bottom light shine through. The lamp comes with a white milk glass torchiere shade, which adds another five or six inches to the overall height.
There is some paint wear to the base and patina to the brass fittings. The light works fine as shown, but I had to disassemble it in preparation for shipping - otherwise the cost would be even more expensive. The buyer will need to put it back together.
I know shipping on this item is horrendous, especially to the east coast. All shippers impose a hefty penalty for extra long parcels. The center pipe on this lamp is 47-1/2 inches by 1/2" wide. If you can find a comparable pipe locally at a hardware or plumbing store and want me to ship all parts except the pipe, I can do that. Just contact me with your zip code before purchase so I can give you the revised shipping cost.
