A scarce, complete 1000-plus piece wooden jigsaw puzzle from JK Straus, produced in the early 1940s. It depicts the Western cowboy painting Branding Time by Benton Clark. The assembled puzzle measures about 24 by 30 inches (apparently a smaller 500 piece version of this puzzle was also made). One puzzle piece has a chipped knob, several have edge tears/scrapes to the litho paper covering but overall the puzzle is in good condition. The box has age wear and one taped corner but is intact. All pieces are present.
