This English transferware chop plate or round serving platter is in the popular Friendly Village pattern, produced in England from 1953 to 2003. The covered bridge scene platter measures 12-1/2 inches diameter and is in perfect condition without so much as a stacking or utensil mark to the glaze, and of course no damage or crazing. It has the old brown/black mailbox mark used in the 1950s to early 1960s.
