This Broil King portable kitchen broiler grill by International Appliance Corp of New York dates to the late 1940s or early 1950s. It's chrome with black plastic trim and has an interior cooking area measuring 9 by 13 inches (exterior is 12 by 16 by 7 inches high including handles and legs). The heating unit is enameled steel, embedded in the dome lid. It heats up quickly on both low and high, which are determined by whichever way you insert the Bakelite plug (see last two photos - the black side is low, the reddish brown side is for high heat).
The broiler comes with a removable porcelain enameled steel liner pan and a metal rack. There is no manual but use is pretty self explanatory. The appliance is clean and appears to have been used maybe once or twice only. The chrome is shiny with just a few light marks from age and storage. The cloth cord and Bakelite plug are in excellent condition with no damage or wear.
