According to the book "Groovy Kitchen Designs for Collectors", Descoware was a line of upscale porcelain enamel cast iron cookware that was imported from Belgium at the close of WWII and sold here through the 1950s. This orange and white au gratin baking dish is 11-1/2 inches across the handles by 7 inches front to back and 1-3/4" deep. It's in excellent vintage condition with no stains, crazing, or chips to the white interior or red-orange exterior. There are some tiny pinpoint dots of enamel wear along the edges of the fin handles. Impressed Made in Belgium mark is on the bottom along with the number 24.
