This round 2 quart covered casserole bowl was introduced by Pyrex in the early 1950s. Initially it was available only in lime green and flamingo red. By 1957, advertisements showed more colors like pink, yellow, and turquoise.
The bowl is 8-3/4" diameter by 3 inches deep, not including the tab handles. It comes with the original clear Pyrex glass lid. Both pieces are in marvelous condition for being 70 years old, obviously barely (if at all) used. There are no chips, flakes, scratches, or utensil marks. The finish is still glossy, and when held up to light, I can see none of the usual pinpoint specks of color loss.
