This western style tooled leather shoulder bag purse is from the 1950s, possibly 1940s. It has a foldover envelope style flap and nicely done desert flower tooled decoration at the front and back. The lens shape turn clasp is brass and faux tortoise red celluloid with a bullet shape catch. The purse is 10-1/2" wide by 7-1/2 inches high. The leather shoulder strap has a 15-1/2 inch drop to the top of the bag. There are working shortening snaps at one end of the strap. The interior has three sections including the zippered full center pocket, plus a zippered patch pocket.
The purse has breaks to the lacing at the bottom corners. The leather body could use some saddle soap but is not super worn or stained. The shoulder strap is thin but has no breaks or weak spots. The leather interior has ballpoint pen marks beneath the flap and typical spotting from wear and use.
