This charming winter themed ceramic cookie jar is a penguin wearing a plaid muffler and, incongruously, a harlequin or jester hat. Overall height is 13-1/2 inches. At first glance, it appears that the penguin has no eyes. They are incised into the jar just below the fur trim of the hat and are small. You can make out the left side eye in the second photo. Bulging cheeks at either side of the beak caused extra reflections to his face. The jar has no damage or crazing. The bottom is marked Oneida.
