These three Old Dutch solid copper mixing bowls were used for beating egg whites - the copper and egg white create a chemical reaction that helps stiffen the mixture quickly. They're fine for dry mixing too. The sizes are 8-1/4" diameter by 4-3/4" deep, 7-1/2 by 4", and 5-3/4 by 3-1/4 inches. They date to the 1980s, are good quality (medium weight) and have brass hanging rings. Each is marked O.D.I. Made in Korea Solid Copper on the brass ring plates.
The bowls were previously used and all have some light interior stir marks and minor scuffs on the bottoms where the bowls rest when in use. Each has some small, shallow dings or creases which are best seen in the last photo, and the large bowl has creasing from a dent that was pounded out (see the closeup photos for both exterior and interior views). All three bowls are clean and shiny.
