This unfinished patchwork quilt top has been in my family since the mid 1960s, made by my grandmother from her stash of salvaged fabrics from other sewing projects and old clothing. It measures 95 by 80 inches, plenty big enough as-is for a twin bed, or add side panels to make it larger. It consists of 30 hand stitched 12 inch blocks in a pieced pinwheel star pattern. I'm pretty sure the fabrics are all cotton. The aqua green panels bordering the blocks were attached by machine stitching, everything else is hand pieced.
The quilt top was dry cleaned many years ago and is still clean with minimal age yellowing. There may be a few minor repairs necessary (see the frayed edges to the green block in photo number 6 as an example), but there are no stains or big tears. The photos show only a few of the blocks.
