Two pair of vintage pillow cases, each with a different style of handmade trim. The first pair are made of creamy white linen textured fabric - I think it's cotton but it may actually be linen. Above the wide hem of each pillowcase is a 2 inch decorative border of drawn and knotted thread embroidery. The 33 by 21-1/2 inch pillowcases are well made with French seams. There are no labels, I think they were hand made by a talented seamstress.
The second pair are JC Penney cotton percale with hand crocheted scalloped white lace trim with a border of intertwined white and yellow rickrack. They measure 33-1/2 by 20 inches. This pair has torn side seams - they will need to be repaired or used as cutters. The hand made trim is still in good condition however. I don't want to tamper with the like-new starched finish of the linen type cases, or risk further damage to the other pair, so I'll leave laundering to the buyer.
