This 1950s Japan boxed Christmas ashtray or smoking set from Dan-Dee Imports makes an attractive vintage set for lighting holiday candles. The ashtray is an embossed white and gold porcelain plate or dish, 4-1/4 inches diameter. Seasons Greetings is printed in gold at the upper center, with a wired mercury glass bead flower and lacquered holly leaf below. Four metallic gold foil match boxes with matching bead flower and leaf decorations surround the tray in the box, all unused and full. The beads have normal age deterioration of the inner silvering and the box lid has color fading and mild edge wear from storage. A pretty little set for lighting your holiday candles.
