An assortment of nine antique tin candle holders, all painted in lead based transparent blue gel. They were used on Victorian Christmas trees to hold real lit candles in the days before electric lighting. There are five different shapes: arrowhead, leaf or shell, fish tail, flower (two styles), and a scarce fancy scrolled shield shape clamp (at far right in first photo). This one has a looped spring wire at the top to hold the candle rather than the applied crown cups the others have. All of the holders are intact and will clamp properly and securely. They have age appropriate finish wear, some have remnants of old candle wax. None of the holders are marked that I can see, they are probably a mix of German and American made.
