This circa 1957 Betty The Beautiful Bride doll was made by Deluxe Premium Corp. in Newark, New Jersey (the company name was changed to Deluxe Reading a few years later). She comes in her original box and is 30 inches high. Her soft body is vinyl coated foam. She has vivid bright red washable saran hair and blue-green sleep eyes with lush lashes. Her gown is white lace, chiffon, and satin. She wears shoes, panties, and a chiffon veil with a simulated pearl tiara comb.
There are no signs the doll was every played with. Her original hair net is still clipped in place, and aside from some mild storage dust, she's really clean with no damage or marks. She was found in her original box wrapped in a partial sheet. According to the box, she should have originally come with a bouquet, wall plaque, and a recording of Bing Crosby's "Because", but none of these items are present. The heavy cardboard box has some tape marks and edge wear but is intact. Other versions of the Betty Beautiful Bride doll were made into the mid 1960s, but this version was the first.
