This early 1950s hand painted glass batter and syrup pitcher set has hand painted red poppy and daisy flowers. The glass dispensers were made by Hazel Atlas, the painted decoration was done by Gay Fad Studios. You can see the batter pitcher on the cover of Gene Florence's Hazel Atlas identification book.
The larger "Waffles" batter pitcher is 9-1/2 inches tall, the syrup dispenser is about 5-1/2" high. The frosted glass has no damage and the painted decoration is excellent with no flaking or fading. The metal slide levers at the tops of the dispensers work properly, and the plastic tops have no chips or cracks. A very nice set for use or kitchen display.
