This ornate gilded cast metal spear or sword shape wall mounted bracket is for a hanging lamp, though there's no reason you can't hang something else from it, such as a plant. It's nearly 30 inches long by just 6-1/2" wide and has an inch arm with end hook to hang your lamp.

The cord and chain from the original lamp is still present, which will allow the buyer to see how the lamp wiring was threaded into the bracket. A brass push button on/off switch is built into the upper shield portion of the bracket. Although not marked, I'm certain the bracket was made in West Germany in the 1950s based on the label from the original lamp (Bavarian Bristol, for sale elsewhere in the shop).
