This vintage custom made Nettle Creek "Romance" woven jacquard bedspread dates to the 1970s. It measures 109 by 106 inches, including the 5 inch fringe on three sides. The label states the size as "dual" but it fits a queen size bed just fine as shown in the photos. Fiber content isn't stated on the label but I'm pretty sure it's cotton with rayon fringe. It's double layered and very heavy - the spread weighs over 15 pounds before boxing. It is washable - I ran it through my high capacity washing machine and it came out fine (but it took quite a long time to dry).
The woven design features cherubs or cupids, flowers, and ornate medallions in red, pink, and a shade of olive green described as brass on the label. The colors on the back side are reversed with a red background instead of green, shown in the third to last photo. Though the fabric is reversible, the fringe trim is sewn so the green background is on top. I saw no spots or stains, just a half dozen or so snags or pulled threads like those shown in the last two pictures. The only other issue is a 20 inch area of damage to the fringe. Pictures were taken with and without flash and overhead lighting as needed, therefore the color variations. The most accurate coloring on my monitor is in the closeup photos.
