This antique japanned heavy tin plated steel spice box was made by Kreamer Tinware of Brooklyn New York. It would have originally held six square spice tins which are not present. The lockable box has a swinging metal handle at the center of the lid and is embossed Kreamer on the bottom along with a 1918 patent date. It measures 10-1/2 by 7-1/2 by 4-1/2 inches. The original glossy black and bronze-gold paint is in very good condition considering the age of the box. The front panel has the most wear while the interior has very little.
