This pretty white porcelain pierced bread basket bowl was made in Bavaria Germany by Schwarzenhammer. It's marked "US Zone", narrowing the production date to between 1945 and 1949. The scalloped oval basket has side handles and measures 12 by 7-1/2 inches, about 2 inches high at the low side center. Colorful wildflower decals decorate the center. The bottom and rim are outlined in narrow bands of gold. In excellent condition with no damage, scratches, or wear to the gold trim.
