These 2-1/2 inch high silvered glass Christmas ornaments are beautiful. They have hand painted pink and blue roses, rosebuds, and green leaves. You'll find one or two occasionally, rarely more than a couple, nestled in a box of older American made glass ornaments. I'm not sure who made them, but they apparently stopped being produced by the early 1940s, no doubt because they were so labor intensive to produce. They're somewhat scarce for USA made ornaments of this era and it's hard to gather a set of them.
The two ornaments are in good vintage condition with no breaks or chips, though there is some spotting to the bottoms and backs due to degradation of the inner silvering. The metal caps are marked "Made in U.S. of A." - the word "of" generally being associated with pre-1945 ornaments - it disappeared from ornament caps during World War II.
