An attractive vintage silver plated serving tray from Wm A Rogers, 12-3/8 inches diameter. It has a 4-1/2 inch shallow well in the center to accommodate a dish or bowl. The petal rim has twelve pleat-notched scallops, each with a decorative pierced design. An ornate raised feathery scroll and leaf design encircles the center.
I may be the world's worst photographer of silver items, so if you like the tray shown in my photos, you'll like it even better in person. It's shinier, prettier, and in better condition than my pictures show. There are some shallow, hair-fine marks from cleaning and storage and a few tiny scratches but nothing deep or prominent. Though I did miss a little tarnish around the rim edges when polishing, the vast majority of dark marks are shadows and reflections of darker items in the room where I took the pictures. Plus a few fingerprint smudges caused by repositioning the tray in a vain effort to avoid the above shadows. The back of the tray is marked simply "WM A Rogers 8278".
