A set of woven elastic Gene Autry suspenders for little cowboys or cowgirls from the 1940s. They are maroon red with yellow, red, and orange images of Gene Autry, his horse Champion. The length-adjusting slides are adorned with metal revolvers. The nickel end clips are embossed with horse heads, and have a patent number dating to 1945 on the backs.
The suspenders are in very good condition for their approximately 75 year age. All four waistband clips work properly. The elastic is still stretchy and the colors don't seem faded much if at all. The undecorated elastic backs have some light soiling and one area of more substantial staining as shown in the next to last photo. Unstretched length about 24 inches including clips (they can be shortened via the pistol sliders).
