An assortment of seven old glass Christmas ornaments from 1920s and 1930s Japan. They're all smaller, some feather tree size, from 1-1/2 to 2-1/4 inches high. Two are polygon shape, one a lantern with embossed grids and flowers, the other resembling a misshapen die or dice cube. There are two different berry or fruit ornaments, little pink pine cone, and a ball with beaded center band and flower petals at the top and bottom.
The plain round mauve-purple ornament has a kugel cap. Like the antique German kugel ornaments Japan was trying to copy, the color is within the glass, not painted or sprayed on, but the Japan versions were smaller, lighter in weight, and the caps were not the same quality. The kugel-like ornament has considerable loss to the inner mercury silvering. The others have a little age appropriate finish wear as shown, no chips or breaks.
