I'm not sure of the proper terminology for this circa 1960 white faux fur wrap - whether it's a stole, cape, or shrug, but it's classy, retro, and gorgeous. The shoulders and upper back raise up to form a squared effect, tapering gracefully to a curved heart shape at the drop neckline.
The model wears a size 10 to 12. The cape measures 15 inches from the back center neckline to hem. Width across the lower back edge is 29-1/2 inches. The label reads "Fashioned by El Encore of Alatia by Alamac, Dynel and Verel Modacrylic Fiber, Clean By Fur Method Pat. Pend.". The lining is cream colored satin.
There are no tears or holes, but the cape is an estate item and the fur does have light soiling and should be cleaned. It hung in the original owner's closet for many years and picked up dust and household odors.
