This charming paper maché egg shape Easter candy container was made in Western Germany between 1947 and 1951. It measures 4-3/4 inches long by just over 3 inches wide by 3-3/8 inches high. The back and front have two different scenes: one features two chicks in a little sailboat with a snail and colored eggs in the foreground, the other has bunnies, a chick, and a duckling playing in a wooden pull cart with Easter eggs and flowers. There's some minor age wear to the red paper seam openings, otherwise excellent vintage condition.
