An attractive stoneware art pottery jam or condiment jar from Mexico. It's 4-1/2 inches high by 3" diameter and is decorated in the traditional Tonala floral style with enamel paints in blue, green, and brown. The interior is glazed and safe for food or beverage use.
The jar was found at a Downey Idaho estate with the wooden lid shown, notched for a spoon or spreader. The lid fits perfectly but I'm not positive that it's original. The jar may have originally been made as a tumbler or pencil holder. Signed on the bottom J Mora. In perfect condition with no damage.
