**UPDATE June 2022** Just added an 11th dog figure to the lot - shown in the second photo. Description has been updated to include the new fella.

A small collection of ten ceramic dog and puppy figurines from the 1950s plus one bonus skunk. Five are marked Japan, the others have no marks but are probably also mass produced, inexpensive imports meant to be sold cheaply in discount or five and dime stores. The two largest are poodles: a high-glaze redware pottery black poodle just over 3 inches high, and a white French type poodle holding a shoe, not quite 4 inches long by 3-1/4" high. The cocker spaniel shown in the second photo is about the same size as the white poodle.

The other dogs range from 2-1/2 to 1-1/4 inches long. There is a family of three boxer types, and a black and white dog with what looks like a painted butterfly on his tail. The brown laying down dog may be a wolf or coyote. They all need a milk cleaning but have no damage. The white poodle's slipper has a minor flaw, a line near the heel that was painted and glazed over during manufacture, visible only on close inspection.
