This early 20th Century high-glaze ceramic trivet has a wonderful hand painted scene of a Dutch boy and girl (or possibly mother and son) with the boy feeding a little goat. It's about 6-1/2 inches square by about 5/8" high on four corner feet and was produced in Saxony Germany. A green backstamp on the bottom, shaped like a hat reads St. A.-G. Sornewitz. There's another circular mark below but it's too faded to read. The upper right foot corner has a glaze nick to the edge as shown in the last photo. All other white spots are from reflections or glare. It's not visible when displayed unless you pick the trivet up and turn it over. Otherwise excellent condition.
