A large cold pack canning kettle in navy blue speckled graniteware or porcelain enamel ware with red trim by Belmont. It holds at least 16 quarts and measures 13-1/2 inches diameter not including the handles by 9 inches high. Most of the original paper label is still attached to the front. The Belmont Stamping & Enameling Company was dissolved in 1952, so the canner is probably from the 1940s or earlier.

The original metal canning rack is inside. The rack has some light rust. There are several small chips to the enamel, mostly to the lid and rim. I could feel only one chip inside, I think the rust marks in the bottom are from the rack. This huge pot has great coloring and displays well.
