This vintage National number 801 Brass King washboard dates somewhere between the 1920s and 1940s. The name Saginaw was removed from the tops sometime shortly after World War II. By 1960, the company was out of business. The wood and corrugated brass washboard measures 12-1/4" wide by 24 inches high. It's in very good condition. The only issue I can find is that the red lettering on both sides of the board is faded. On the front, the word National is in red, and on the back the words are "soap saving". There are no cracks or chips to the wood.
