This late 1800s EAPG ruby stained spoon holder or sugar bowl is in the Red Block pattern, produced by a number of American Glass makers including US Glass. I honestly can't tell if it's the sugar or spooner - one is a little wider and shorter than the other but I've seen both pieces represented as both the sugar bowl and the spooner. It measures 4-3/8 inches high by 3 inches diameter at the rim by a little over 5 inches wide across the handles. It's in remarkably good condition for being over 120 years old with no chips, flakes, or serious wear. The ruby staining is excellent with very little wear - you have to hold the piece up to strong light or use magnification to see the few tiny areas of worn color or tiny scratches to the red of the faceted buttons. There is a darker "drip" of color at the rim, shown in the first photo.
