A rare box of old black steel hooks or hangers sized specifically for smaller, miniature, or feather tree size Christmas ornaments, made in the 1930s by National Tinsel. The standard size for metal ornament hooks starts at 1-1/2 inches long, some are bigger. These are only an inch long.
The count on the side of the box states "Contents 75", but there are more - exactly 87 hooks. Presumably they were used, but none are rusted, bent or damaged - they all seem to have retained their original shepherd's crook shape. The box has age discoloration and storage wear as shown but it's intact with one inner end flap missing. If you're going to the trouble and expense of putting up a vintage Christmas tree, you might as well have authentic hooks.
