In the late 1960s to mid 1970s, customers purchasing a major Westinghouse appliance, usually a stove, were given a set of glass salt and pepper shakers like this as a premium. The shakers were marked with the Westinghouse crowned W logo as well as a lowercase letter G for Gemco, the manufacturer. A variety of designs were available which were usually designed to coordinate with current Corning Pyrex and Corelle dinnerware and ovenware patterns of the era.
This set coordinates with the Pyrex and Corelle Blue Garland or Snowflake Blue pattern. Both of the 3-1/2" white milk glass shakers have the crown W and lower case "g" for Gemco logos on the undersides. The shakers are in excellent condition with no damage.
