A rare 1940s leather cigarette case with artwork by famed Western cowboy and artist Till Goodan. On the front flap are ranch brand symbols and a longhorn steer. The back has one of Goodan's iconic cowboy on a bucking bronco horse image with his signature.
The interior flap pulls up about 1-1/2 inches to accommodate longer cigarette packs, but it's still not quite long enough for modern filtered 100s smokes. The case is 3 inches high by 2-3/8" wide without the flap extended. There's a little finish wear to the narrow sides of the case and what looks to be a small water mark at the lower left back corner. Found inside the case is a 4 page brochure titled Branding Irons of Western Ranches, compiled by Till Goodan.
