Both of these delicate porcelain figurines were made in Germany in the 1930s or earlier and have applied porcelain flowers. The shoe vase is 2-1/4" high by about 4-1/4 inches long. It has four lacing holes and is decorated with a big pink porcelain rose surrounded by green leaves and tiny purple and blue forget-me-not type flowers. There was probably a thin silk ribbon or bow in the lacing holes at one time. There is a very minor manufacturing flaw above the top right lacing hole, a thin line where the porcelain was separated at firing, less than 1/8" long.
The small canoe shape ashtray has a pearl luster finish and measures 4 inches long by 2-1/4 inches wide. The top rim is decorated with pink and yellow applied porcelain roses, green leaves, and blue flowers. Although the yellow rose looks like it's chipped in the photo, I don't think it is - it's glazed over and smooth to the touch. Both pieces are marked Germany on the bottoms.
