This large Haeger Pottery nursery planter can be dated to 1945-1946, based on the 75th anniversary foil label on the bottom. Solid baby blue in color, it depicts a Victorian or colonial lady wearing a sunbonnet pushing a baby carriage. Planters like this filled with flowers or a small plant were popular gifts to the parents of a newborn baby.
The planter measures just over 7-1/2 inches high by 9 inches long. The planter area is about 3 by 5 inches. In excellent condition with no damage, crazing, or evidence of use (no dirt, sediment, or water stains inside).
