This beautiful wire-wrapped antique blown glass flower basket Christmas ornament was made in Germany around the turn of the last century. It's 5-1/2" high from the coiled gold wire hanging basket loop to the gold tinsel tassel at the bottom.

The ornament is a deep pink color which may have once been red and was once mercury silvered inside but is now semi-transparent. The center is encircled with a strand of gold metal feather tinsel and and wrapped with curly or coiled thin gold wire. A tucksheer flower with lacquered berry center is inserted into the pike of the ornament along with green feather leaves, creating a hanging flower basket or vase. A red cotton string hanger is tied to the top.

The ornament is in excellent condition for its age with a little age browning of the green feathery leaf tips and some snapped wires.
