This 3 inch high late Victorian era antique glass fruit Christmas ornament from German appears to be an apple, or perhaps a peach. The thin clear glass is thickly coated in colored and clear ground glass glitter, light pink with a dark pink blush at one side. It even has a little painted black stem dot at the bottom. There's a bit of dust at the light pink upper shoulder and the pike opening is a little uneven, though the metal hanger is secure. The sugar-type coating is still remarkably good for a 100-plus year old ornament with no discernible shedding.
