Wm Rogers Silver Company began to produce a series of quality silverplated state seal collector or souvenir teaspoons around 1910. The last state produced under the 1881 Rogers mark was New Mexico in 1912. Arizona was added in 1915 with a different Rogers backstamp for a total of 48 state seal spoons, all with the same American eagle and flag symbol embossed in high relief at the handle tip.
The 6 inch Oregon spoon has a shield version of the state seal below the eagle. The rose state flower is below the shield followed by the word Oregon in vertical lettering. Some of the fine details of the seal are worn. The bowl of the spoon has scratches as shown.
