A softly pleated 6-1/2 inch hand painted vase in creamy ivory porcelain from the 1950s or 1960s. The background decoration is mottled sea green and moss. A gold outlined pink and green botanical design decorates both front and back. The vase is trimmed in platinum at the base and rim. The underside has an embedded silver or platinum circle (not a label) and the numbers 59/2-27 underglaze in red. I'm certain the origin is Asian, possibly Japanese. The gold outlining has some wear and the platinum bands are tarnished. Room lighting made it appear worse than it really is in the photos. There are no chips, cracks, or water stains.
