Circa 1930s, possibly earlier, hand hooked rug on burlap with a pretty rose spray decoration. It measures about 25 by 30 inches. The stitches are very close together. The wool is not typical or modern rug yarn, it appears to be very narrow strips of flat, loosely woven coiled or twisted fibers. A strip of old cotton seam binding on a back corner has an inked signature of the maker, but it's too faded for me to make out.
The condition is very good other than wear a the four corners as shown - see the closeup photo for the most significant area. My camera flash lightened the background colors of the closeup flowers photos a bit. The first two photos are accurate, and of course the colors are deeper on the back side due to age and fading.
